V4 FACE 2020 Symposium

June 18, 2021

The conference will be organized using the MS Teams. In week before the conference you should get the invitation to join the Conference Team.

During the lecturing session the presenter will be asked to share the screen with her/his presentation. If any technical problems occur you may send the presentation to the office and it will be displayed by organizers.

During the poster session the presenter will be asked to share the screen with her/his presentation on dedicated meeting in the dedicated channel.

To avoid any technical problems regarding the conference in MS teams, participants are asked to join to the training sessions. The invitation of the training sessions will be sent by email.

Poster preparation

The poster should be prepared horizontally in A1 size (84.1 x 59.4 cm) with the use of the poster template. It is recommended that the content can be read without enlarging the poster. The minimum font size is 20.

Poster session

Short poster presentation (1-2 min)
At the beginning of the poster session, the author will be asked to present his/her poster (1-2 min) to invite participants of the Conference to his/her poster. For this purpose, the author is asked to send a
graphical abstract (in .pptx format) of the poster containing the title and authors along with the most important information that the author wants to discuss during a short presentation.

For practical reasons, graphical abstract will be displayed by the organizers during the short poster presentation.
Please send the graphical abstract to the conference office using the address face@uj.edu.pl to June 28, 2021.

After the presentation of graphical abstracts, during the remaining part of the poster session, participants will be asked to share their poster in separate channels organized on the MS Teams platform. Authors independently will present posters from their computers by sharing a screen or program window in MS Teams (recommended) or using MS Teams in a web browser.

April 14, 2021

We would like to inform participants that because of still difficult pandemic situation and the prolonged restrictions related to it, the Symposium will be held in the remote form.

April 10, 2021

The deadline for registration and abstract submission has been postponed to April 19.

Dear Friends,

We would like to kindly inform you that due to extraordinary circumstances related to COVID-19 pandemic situation locking down countries and institutions around the Globe the organizers decided again to postpone the conference V4 Symposium "Flow Analysis and Capillary Electrophoresis" (FACE 2020).

The new date of the conference is June 28 – July 1, 2021.

To accommodate the benefits of face-to-face meetings with the travelling constrains we would like the conference and workshops to be organized in a blended mode. Namely, the events are going to be held in lecturing halls at the Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University, hosting our guest who would like to participate in a stationary meeting and additionally – it will be streamed to those participants who wish to attend on-line. We believe that such blended mode will help us to circumvent the problems related with restrictions and it will let our guest to choose the most suitable type of participation.

We deeply hope that you fully understand our decision and that this change will not prevent you from participating in this meeting. We invite you again cordially to visit Krakow in person or virtually!

With best regards,

V4 Symposium Organizing Committee

On behalf of myself and Professor Petr Solich from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Charles University in Hradec Kralove (Czech Republic) I am pleased to invite all interested parties to the V4 Symposium "Flow Analysis and Capillary Electrophoresis" (V4-FACE 2020). This is the third edition of this scientific meeting, which this year will take place in Poland, at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
This time the conference will be organized as part of a project approved by the International Visegrad Fund. The main goal of the project is to establish a new and expand the already established cooperation between the research centers of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries in the field of analytical chemistry, with particular emphasis on flow analysis and capillary electrophoresis. Our institutional project partners are: Faculty of Pharmacy of the Charles University in Hradec Kralove, Institute of Analytical Chemistry of Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno, Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Debrecen, Research Institute of Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering of the University of Pannonia in Veszprem, Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Science of the Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, and Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Warsaw. The announced active participation of representatives of these centers will allow us to get acquainted with the state and development of analytical chemistry in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland, as well as, of course, with the latest scientific achievements in the field of flow analysis and capillary electrophoresis. We will talk about further, post-conference joint activities, among others during the discussion panel planned within the Symposium.
Leading analysts from outside these centers have also announced their participation in our conference, including from Spain, Portugal, Russia, Thailand and the United States. We are counting on the participation of over 100 people. In addition to oral and poster presentations as part of the Symposium, we plan to organize very interesting workshops, as well as a separate Young Session for master and doctoral students and young researchers, hoping that their fresh look at analytical problems will be particularly interesting and inspiring for all of us.
We invite everyone who deals with any aspect of flow analysis, capillary electrophoresis and related techniques to participate in the Symposium. We look forward to presenting new achievements in theoretical and methodological research in both areas. We count on numerous reports of both completed and ongoing research on new, instrumental modifications of flow and electrophoretic systems, and about the interesting use of both techniques for analytical and even non-analytical purposes. We will be pleased to welcome representatives of quality control, environmental and research laboratories and companies producing analytical equipment in our meeting. We invite them to share their experiences and insights on the use of flow and electrophoretic techniques for routine analysis, as well as to present the problems associated with the use of both techniques in everyday laboratory practice.
In free time we invite everyone to visit the impressive building of our Faculty and the new University Campus, as well as to admire - especially charming at the beginning of summer - various corners of Old Krakow. We hope that the academic atmosphere of the City and the University will contribute to strengthening and consolidating the scientific and social impressions provided during conference.
